Notary Public, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018

£40.00

Notary is the side project of winemaker Ernst Storm who's a bit of a superstar in the wine world. Originally from South Africa he is now settled in California and makes this top quality juice in a modern, fresh and approachable style.

Notary Public means "let the people decide" focusing on varietals grown in the Santa Ynez valley near Ernst's home, unstuffy and authentic. These are wines that show the possibility to make fresh, bright, approachable wines of immense pleasure and without the price tag of Napa Valley or Sonoma.

This wine in particular is screaming blackcurrant and olive tapenade, there's elements of smoked meat going on, some green pepper and all the lovely fresh fruit which is held together by the Californian sunshine.

It is the type of wine you must finish once you open it, because every glass tastes a little better than the last. Drink it on its own or chill it down (to around 17 degrees) and enjoy with red meat.

Notes: Dry, Fruit, Medium Bodied

Pairings: BBQ Fare, Pizza, Friends
